The Planting of Timothy

1. Sowing method: Timothy planting does not have strict soil requirements, requiring neutral and weakly acidic soil. Before sowing, fine soil preparation should be carried out, with a sowing depth of 1-2cm. The sowing amount is generally 2 jin/mu, and the row spacing should be 20-30cm. The sowing amount should be increased, and post sowing compaction is beneficial for seedling emergence. Post sowing compaction should be carried out 1-2 times.

2. Sowing management: During the planting period of Timothy, attention should be paid to water and fertilizer. If there is drought during the seedling period, watering can be done. If there are weeds during the seedling period, they can be removed in a timely manner. If used to feed rabbits and small livestock, harvesting should be done when they are fresh and tender, with an average harvesting time of 30-60 centimeters; If it is feeding or releasing large livestock, it should be raised higher before harvesting; Leave 7 to 10 centimeters of stubble during harvesting, then fertilize and water.
